Mila Cuda was the 2018 Youth Poet Laureate of the West Coast. Her debut book, Dishwater Blonde, was released in June 2018. She is the former captain of the LA Brave New Voices team, a two time Classic Slam champion, and ranked fourth in the world for collegiate slam poetry as part of the Wellesley College CUPSI team. Her work has been featured on Button Poetry, Rookie, and PBS. She worked closely with Carlos Lopez Estrada as the Summertime story editor and is also prominently featured in the film.
